Jim Furyk leads by one at -8 over Retief Goosen and Luke Donald, while Geoff Ogilvy is three back and Paul Casey four back.
Can Furyk, who has won once (this year’s Transitions Championship) since 2007, pull it off? East Lake Golf Club suits Furyk’s game so we’ll see if his nerves hold out. Can he do what his dad told him to do yesterday:
Just play golf. Do what you’ve been doing.
Nick Watney went super low yesterday with a 63, so low scores are out there.
Ogilvy is a much hotter tempered player than I realized. He was not thrilled yesterday. Made me feel better about my own temper on the course.
UPDATE 11:21am ET: Jim Furyk has teed off. He missed the fairway on #1 to the left but he’s in play fine. Retief Goosen (also in the final group), tee’d off with a 3-wood and is in the right tree line. I love watching Goosen’s swing. It reminds me of mine. 🙂

I’m not a “Twitter” fan. I think there’s a reason the first four letters are “twit.” But here’s a “tweet” from Stewart Cink on this week’s TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP:
It’s rained so much around ATL that many school systems are delayed or cancelled today. And East Lake closed all day — range and course.
