I’m not sure how much more of this stuff I can take. My phone keeps ringing early in the morning on weekends now, robbing me of my beauty sleep.
This whole TW situation has completely sapped me of what limited creative golf blogging juices I had. It really has. I used to be excited to write about golf, golf courses and equipment. I’m having trouble now getting my golf mojo up. Maybe some transgressions will help…
There are rumors of two more mistresses now. The first is named Mindy Lawton. Mindy is a “busty” (a.k.a. not skinny) waitress at a Perkins down the street from Tiger Woods’ home. A piece in the New York Post alleges that there was S&M going on and that they frequented many rooms in Tiger Woods’ house. The other alleged mistress is a bubbly looking 27 year old blond “model” from Vegas named Jamie Jungers.
I’m glad I don’t have this problem
I guess I should count my blessings that all I win on the golf course is $4 from my buddy Marius on Thursdays. I’m glad I’m not a billionaire golfer. Though she doesn’t handle a golf club terribly well, my woman is a bad-ass. She was a world champion Muay Thai kick boxer with more black belts than Chuck Norris. She could kick my ass so bad it isn’t even funny. Fortunately for me I have no transgressions to repent for. I’m safe.
Uh, this is interesting. The lawyer for Rachel Uchitel has canceled the scheduled press conference today due to unforeseen circumstances. Uchitel’s attorney Gloria Allred says there will be no more discussion on the matter.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the news conference scheduled for today is canceled. There will be no further statements on this matter.
Any guesses what the unforeseen circumstances are? Did Rachel get a hangnail? Bad hair day? Is she getting her lips enhanced? Perhaps some “event” transpired which helped them decide they were done talking?
DISCUSS THE TIGER SITUATION WITH OTHER GOLFERS
I invite you to join a forum discussion about Tiger Woods’ affairs over at Hooked On Golf Blog’s sisters site, The Golf Space. I’d like to get the opinions of fans, haters and whoever else. What do you think this will mean for Tiger, golf, next year, Tiger’s quest to overcome Jack Nicklaus’ major record etc. What does this mean to you as a fan?
Tiger Woods admitted to “transgressions” today via a written letter on his web site (below). Just how many “transgressions” and who the transgressions were with wasn’t mentioned. 1/4 of his letter discusses his behavior and his sorrow, and 3/4 of the letter asks for privacy. If we thought Tiger was a tough shell to crack before, just wait.
I’m glad that Tiger did do the right thing this time and admitted to it especially after just days ago saying this three days ago:
Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
Tiger Woods’ official statement regarding the transgressions:
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.
Tiger needs a comment moderator for his web site, or to just turn comments off. WAIT NEVER MIND!
I know a golf web geek Tiger could hire to take care of a new need which has arisen on his web site, comment moderator. There are over 1,600 comments now, some of which aren’t too nice, as can be expected.
Before I’d even finished typing this, a new development. The comments are gone and this message now appears. “Comments are currently undergoing maintanance. Please try back later.” Someone tell Tiger’s webmaster how to spell “maintenance.”
Update: Surprisingly the comment thread is turned back on. There are 2500+ comments now.
Oh no
I go out and play golf on December 1st, then my hands end up damn near frozen. I’ve got 10 minutes before I have to leave for an appointment but I found all of this new Tiger “stuff” in my inbox. This is getting bad.
The web site radaronline.com is reporting “several” other women are coming forward and claiming affairs with Tiger Woods. The newest report has a female named Jaimee Grubbs (pictured). Anyone notice that she pretty much looks the same as Rachel Uchitel?
Grubbs allegedly has over 300 text messages from Tiger.
Send me something very naughty…Go to the bathroom and take (a picture).
The report goes on to say that “another” woman will be coming forward as well.
Um. I really hope this isn’t true. I don’t have time to write anymore right now but I’ll check back later with more. Until then, Jay Flemma has a piece I’d check out here.
