Jim Thorpe gets prison time for tax evasion

Jim Thorpe has been sentenced to one year in prison for tax evasion, failing to pay $2,000,000 in taxes. He has to check himself in on April 1.

They should move the date to two weeks later and have him check himself in on April 15th.

Sad story from Orlando.  Champions Tour player Jim Thorpe (with the crazy swing) pleaded guilty on tax evasion charges.  He didn’t pay over $2 million in taxes from income between 2002-2004.  He could face up to two years in prison and a $4.1 million fine.
