So I’m milling about here in San Diego. I walked out on the Ocean Beach pier and found a fascinating selection of prizes in a gumball machine called “Homies.” I didn’t have any quarters on me, but rest assured I’ll be bringing a pile of them back and attempting to acquire my favorite Homie, the one legged “Hero” pictured right.
