My winter torture continues. Now in my hands is a micro golf GPS from GolfBuddy, the CT2. I’m hoping for some global warming so the snow melts fast and the courses open up, allowing me to start testing this baby. For now, here’s a picture and a few of the features listed below. Pray for the snow to melt.
This is painful. There are two feet of snow on the grass here and the golf courses are closed for probably 2-3 months. I just got this TomTom Golfer Premium Golf GPS Watch in for review and all I can do is charge it up, put it on my wrist, stare at it in my office and dream of being on a golf course.
I guess I could put on my snow boots and go for a walk round the golf course with it to check yardages…
So here’s the first look at least for now, and the unit and it’s accessories. I hope to review this golf GPS watch soon. Maybe I’ll have to make a trip to a warmer area, or maybe global warming can be real and the snow will melt soon.
First impressions are that this is perhaps the first golf GPS watch I’ve received, and there have been many, that is actually small enough to wear comfortably.
I’m now in the midst of my testing phase for the GolfBuddy WT4 Golf GPS Watch. As you can see from the picture below, this is a very sharp looking unit.
After a few more evaluation rounds I’ll be posting my completeGolfBuddy WT4 Golf GPS Watch review soon. So far I dig the look and how solid the GPS yardages are. I don’t wear watches often, so I’ve got it now attached to my golf bag.
In for review here at Hooked on Golf Blog is the new GolfBuddy VS4 talking golf GPS. This is a tiny, watch-sized golf GPS which speaks your yardages to you. See the video below for a sample.
I’ve used the unit for two full 18 hole rounds now and it is very solid. At times when the pin has been center-green, I’ve checked the distances with my laser rangefinder and they are exact.
Stay tuned for the full review in a week or two when I’ve had the opportunity to complete my comprehensive review.
Once again, due to snow I can’t get out on the course today. The next time I do hit the links, I plan on taking my first test drive with the new Bushnell “neo” (yes, all lower case) pocket golf GPS.
This thing is smaller than my Canon camera, which I always carry with me in my pocket. The rounded corners are nice when it is in the pocket. The unit comes with a belt mount too.
The unit does NOT require a subscription or fee to use either, which is nice.
