Golf is as much about style as it is about skill, and when you find a shirt that not only feels great but also brings a bit of personality to the game, it’s worth talking about. Enter the CON.STRUCT Green Hotdog Dog Polo, a shirt that has climbed the ranks in my diverse golf wardrobe.
First Impressions
When I first laid eyes on the CON.STRUCT Green Hotdog Dog Polo, I couldn’t help but grin. Golf fashion has its classics—solid colors, stripes, and the occasional argyle—but it’s rare to find a shirt that manages to be both fun and functional. This polo features a subtle yet playful hotdog dog pattern, and it’s the kind of design that makes you do a double-take, then chuckle when you realize what’s going on. It’s not just for show, though—this shirt putts for dough.
On the Course
The true test of any golf shirt is how it performs on the course, and the CON.STRUCT polo passed with flying colors, pun intended. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, perfect for those hot days on the links. It wicks moisture away, keeping you dry and comfortable throughout the round. Plus, the fit is just right—not too tight, not too loose, allowing for a full range of motion without looking sloppy.
I took it for a spin during my last white spheroid hitting session, and not only did I get a few compliments, but I also noticed how well it held up after a full day. No clinging, no sagging, just a solid performance all around. If only my game was that solid.
A Conversation Starter
Let’s be honest—golfers love to talk about gear almost as much as they love to talk about their swings. The Green Hotdog Dog Polo is a conversation starter. Whether it’s on the tee box or at the 19th hole, people notice this shirt. It’s a great way to break the ice, share a laugh, and even make a new friend or two.
Sizes
Sizes range from small to XXXL. There’s one that’s right for you. I found the fit to be true.
Final Thoughts
Golf is supposed to be fun, and your gear should reflect that. The CON.STRUCT Green Hotdog Dog Polo brings a lighthearted vibe to your golf wardrobe without sacrificing performance. It’s comfortable, stylish, and durable—everything you want in a golf shirt, with a side of humor. If you’re looking to add a little personality to your game, this shirt is a hole-in-one.
Wish List
If only they made a Corgi version… Then I could take my best pal Bugsy the Corgi with me wherever I go. 🙂
I’ve been gaming the Travis Mathew “We Like to Paddy” polo for a couple of months now. It is one of my top go-to shirts, and I have a LOT of shirts. Let’s take a look.
Fabric/Technology
The Paddy (for short) is made from 62% recycled Polyester, 31% cotton and 7% Spandex. The Polyester and Spandex make the polo super easy to mange in terms of washing, wrinkle resistance and not shrinking.
The combo also provides super (really super) comfort and performance.
Style
The cut and fit of this polo is perfect. I’m not big on tight fitting shirts, but I also don’t want a giant, loose fitting frumpy blanket either. This polo fits is a complimentary way without being too tight, binding, or pulling.
The shirt features a floral print with some subtle yellow and green accents.
On the Course
You know John Rahm? World #1 golfer that just won the Masters Tournament? He games the Paddy. If the polo works for the #1 player in the world, under all the pressure and varying conditions, it works for me.
The fabric stretches and moves easily with athletic activity, or when lifting a frosty beverage up. No restrictions and no uncomfortable tightness in the golf swing.
Sizes/Colors
There is one color way available, white. Obviously that’s the color pictured here.
Sizes run from small to 3XL.
Final Thoughts
The We Like to Paddy polo is one of my all-time favorites! It’s a perfect combination of style, performance, comfort, and convenience! Snag one for dad! Father’s Day is coming up and this polo would make a fantastic Father’s Day golf gift!
I’m always on the lookout for golf clothing that matches my lifestyle and personality. I have tried dozens of brands, and Travis Mathew has stood out for years. Their products are stylish, comfortable, and perfect for both on and off the golf course. Recently I couldn’t help notice the killer styling of newly crowned Masters Tournament champion John Rahm, sporting Travis Mathew apparel.
Travis Mathew is a lifestyle brand that was founded in Southern California in 2007. The brand was created by Travis Johnson and Ryan Ellis, who wanted to create clothing that was stylish, comfortable, and perfect for the modern man’s active lifestyle. Over the years, Travis Mathew has become one of the most popular brands in the golf industry, worn by top players like John Rahm.
What I love about Travis Mathew is their attention to detail. Each product is designed with the customer in mind, ensuring that it meets their needs and preferences. The brand’s commitment to quality and innovation has earned them a loyal following in the golf community and beyond.
The Travis Mathew Heater Polo is one of the brand’s most popular products, and for a good reason. This golf polo is perfect for the modern golfer who wants to look and feel their best on the course. The Heater Polo is available in a range of colors, from classic black to bold red, so you can choose the one that best matches your style. Sizes range from small to XXXL.
The polo is made from 70% Recycled Polyester, 23% Cotton, 7% Spandex. Polyester and Spandex? Back in the 80’s that meant something a bit different than it does now. These days those fabrics translate to comfort and performance. The material is also moisture-wicking, which keeps you cool and dry even on the hottest days.
The Travis Mathew Heater Polo is designed to perform. The polo has a classic design that is perfect for golfers who want to look their best on the course. The polo features a three-button placket, which gives it a timeless look. The collar is also designed to stay in place, so you don’t have to worry about it getting in your way during your swing.
One of the key features of the Heater Polo is its breathability. The polo has a vented back panel that allows air to circulate, keeping you cool and comfortable during your round. The polo also has a UPF 50+ rating, which means that it provides excellent protection from the sun’s harmful rays.
As with all Travis Mathew polos, the Heater oozes class and style. The lines are clean and elegantly simple.
Can’t wait to up my style game and put the polo through the rigorous HOG testing battery. Stay tuned for the full review, which I’ll post after I’ve put the Heater through some test rounds, test washings, and probably test spilling salsa on it.
I may not be able to swing a golf club with two bad shoulders at the moment, but I can sure wear apparel like a mutha. I’m excited to debut a new apparel brand today, Rhoback. Rhoback is performance activewear company based in Charlottesville, VA. Here are a few of their offerings, currently in the rigorous HOG evaluation period.
Game Day Polos
I’ve got two Rhoback Game Day polos to test out. Of course I’ve got a red and white for my Utah Utes, plus a neutral gray that will match with just about anything.
Foghorn 1/4 Zip
For the fall (not now, it is 100+ degrees) I’ll be ready with the Foghorn 1/4 zip long sleeve pullover.
I’m currently testing out the polos now. The fabric is super soft and comfortable. When the temps start to drop, I’ll throw the pullover into the review queue as well.
Stay tuned for the full review of the Game Day polos soon.
If the lovely bride isn’t there to do my apparel scripting for me (set my day’s outfit out on the bed), I like to go the Gary Player route. Black. Black matches black. I can remember that. So this black Puma D_Vent golf polo is perfect for those days. It’s also perfect for golf, even in the summer. Here’s why.
This polo features Puma’s dryCELL technology with moisture wicking properties. Moisture wicking is a process where the garment actually pulls moisture away from the wearer’s body. This technology helps keep the player more dry, cool and comfortable. The D_Vent also provides the wearer UV protection from the sun’s radiation.
The 100% polyester fabric is so much more flexible and comfortable than cotton. This fabric feels great in the golf swing and doesn’t restrict, pull, or bind. There’s even a slit or “vent” in the upper back which aids in comfort and provides a place for heat to exit, especially good when one needs to cool down after a 3-putt.
This polo is so comfortable I love wearing it for daily use, off the golf course. Whether I’m at the office crafting incredible golf blog posts or out chasing little Seve around the neighborhood, I’m comfortable, cool, and stylish.
Sizes/Colors
Available colors: black, red, white, orange, “peacot” and blue.
Available sizes: small, medium, large, extra-large, double extra-large
I normally wear an XL and like a comfortable loose fit and Puma’s sizing is right on with that. Accurate. Not “skinny euro” sizing.
Final Thoughts
It’s hard to crank out a 2000 word review on a shirt. But since I picture is worth 1000 words, I came pretty close. Seriously though, this very stylish and affordable ($65) Puma Golf shirt scores perfectly in all the areas I consider important for a golf polo: comfort, style, performance, durability, easy care.
And my color selection, black, matches everything in my wardrobe. No failed apparel scripts.
