Instamarv must be depressed tonight.
Today marks the day Tiger missed a cut after making 142 straight weekend appearances. I guess he’ll be spear fishing with his blonde model wife in his $20,000,000 yacht two days earlier this week. Rough times.
I bet Tiger won’t break this new record he has set. In fact, I bet he misses some more cuts this year.
It is pretty ironic that Tiger missed the cut at the Byron Nelson isn’t it? After all Byron Nelson is the one who held the previous record of straight cuts at 113. It is pretty safe to say Tiger (or any other pro golfer for that matter) will not even sniff a chance at winning 11 tournaments in a row. (Another Byron Nelson record).
At least now the golf media won’t be going crazy about how Tiger has made X number of cuts in a row. Though it is an impressive record, WINS are what it is all about. And before you comment, YES I know Tiger has a lot of wins too 🙂
The Sand Trap is one of the best golf sites around. There are a ton of great articles and reviews. Plus they have a forum as well.
There’s a great review on the new MacGregor V-FOIL M675 Irons written by yours truly over at The Sand Trap. Go check it out. 😉
The Visiball glasses are supposed to make you see golf balls you might not see with the naked eye. Do they work? Here’s a quick little review to find out.
The Science
The Visiball glasses are designed to reduce the the light reflecting off background objects and grass. Special pigments in the Visiball glasses cause white golf balls to emanate a “glow” effect, making the balls easier to spot.
This image above shows the regular and Visiball image fields. The area shown has 4 golf balls in it. In the image on the left you can’t see the golf balls. In the right side Visiball image you can see them.
golfblogger.com has an excellent book review section. Check it out.
In browsing golfblogger.com I took his recommendation and purchased the book “The Plane Truth for Golfers” by Jim Hardy. While I was at it I picked up Harvey Penick’s Little Blue Book. I can’t wait to check them both out. My favorite golf book of all is Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book.
There are many golf world legends I would have loved to meet and Penick is one of them. My all time would be Bobby Jones.
Randy Massey AND his step mother Terry Massey both aced the eighth hole at the Painted Dunes Desert Course in El Paso Texas.
The odds of two players in a foursome acing the same hole are 17,000,000/1.
