Looks like the pundets were right. No making the cut for Wie this time.
The majority has spoken. Will 61% of you be right?
Will Michelle Wie make the cut at this week’s Sony Open in Hawaii?
Yes -> 39% (11 Votes) 39%
No -> 61% (17 Votes) 61%
To be fair, I’m going to close the current poll about Michelle Wie making the cut at the sony before the Sony starts. If she shoots a 64 I wouldn’t want a bunch of people voting for her 🙂
So vote now if you haven’t and we’ll see if “the pundits” are correct.
Tonight I’m going to an invite only grand opening of a place in town called Golf Lab. It’s a very high end indoor teaching facility. One of the founders apparently is a professional photographer and the lab is in his former studio. They have training bays setup with multiple cameras to video your swing along with computer analysis and tons of other cool stuff. Another founder is a physical trainer so he does body conditioning and flexibility.
Tonight’s deal is 2.5 hours of them showing you their wares, and probably trying to get you to sign up for one of their training packages. They have one package that includes a couple of lessons of all game facets (long game, short game, putting and even physical training and analysis). That package is $1500. Though I’m sure my game could use $1500 worth of work (and a hell of a lot more than that), I’m not sure I could pony up that kind of dough.
I’ll hopefully make some connections and have some good stuff to report. Maybe if I do a detailed feature on them here on HOG they’ll set me up with some training.
Report late tonight or tomorrow.
