Covington, Ga. — Adding to its worldwide TOUR Team, Bridgestone Golf, Inc. officially announced today that LPGA dynamo Paula Creamer will play a Precept golf ball in all professional tournaments beginning with the Women’s World Cup in Sun City, South Africa on Jan 20th, 2006. Creamer will kick-off the 2006 season using a prototype Precept ball in all professional competitions.

There’s a company called Soldius from the Netherlands which makes a golf bag with solar panels on it. This might be good for golfblogger‘s ridiculous item of the week. The solar panels allow you to charge your cell phone or blackberry.
If you’re golfing and you use your cell phone so much that you need to recharge it on the course, then you should just go away. I understand having a cell phone in case of emergency, but jabbering away on cell phones on the course is a big no-no in my book.
I’m hoping to get my hands on some golf GPS units to review for you. But until then, you can see some reviews over at GPS Review.
In case you missed it, here’s a shot Rich from Eat Golf took with his new camera. I about fell out of my chair when I saw this pic at the bottom of a looong string of wildlife pix on Rich’s site. Hopefully eagles will be flying for me this year. But apparently a certain PGA pro commented on the site saying that would be the only eagle I’ll have this year. Well, pal… I’m not afraid of you. Sure you’re a pro, but I’ll take you on any day. Bring it on.
I had to get Eat somehow. I did an extensive search of the web to find a photo of Rich I could work with but came up with nothing. So I slipped in this little logo for a couple of seconds.
Our buddy Bogey Man picked up on this whole thing and posted the eagle pic. So for his efforts in spreading my eagle head pic around, I’ve added his logo to this mess:
