Due to his schedule and the way the world golf ranking works, it is a FACT that Tiger Woods will drop from the #1 ranking in the world on October 31st.
In all likelihood Lee Westwood will become world #1 on 10/31.
Martin Kaymer (winner of the 2010 PGA Championship) could take the #1 spot though if he were to win the Andalucia Valderrama Masters.
As it should be. Woods hasn’t played like a #1 all year.
The last two years have not been very good for Tiger. With the surgery to his knee and his man hood from the press, PGA, wife and lawyers he has been in a slump.
When he gets through revising his swing with a new teacher he will be just fine. He will also grow a new pair and he will be a dynamo and will be back to the Tiger we once new and loved.
Nope, I don’t think Tiger would be back. Sorry. There are just too many who are younger, better and just waiting to have their potentials unleashed. One promising youngster is Zakiya Randall. She’s truly wowing watchers!
Golf is a precision club-and-ball sport, in which competing players (golfers), using many types of clubs, attempt to hit balls into each hole on a golf course while employing the fewest number of strokes. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. Instead, the game is played on golf “courses”, each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either nine or 18 holes. Golf is defined, in the rules of golf, as “playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules.” Golf competition is generally played for the lowest number of strokes by an individual, known simply as stroke play, or the lowest score on the most individual holes during a complete round by an individual or team, known as match play.

I agree with those who think that Woods did not give his best performance in the last 1 year. However I have not lost my faith in Wood’s talent totally. In my opinion, every player goes through a rough patch and Woods is also going through the same. I strongly believe that he will mesmerize us with his amazing golfing skills in the near future. Let’s not forget that Woods is still enjoying the numero uno position and has been the winner of fourteen major golf championships.
