Swing Juice

There is a new drink out there geared toward helping golfers. Launched in April of 2005 by my new pal Jon Mason, Swing Juice is the premium energy drink for golfers.

Swing Juice is an energy drink “designed to increase concentration and sharpen focus, giving you the mental edge needed to improve your game.” Sounds good. How do you do that?

Ingredients

Swing Juice Energy Drink contains a blend of ingredients that have been proven to increase focus, concentration, stamina and energy:

Gingko Biloba- helps to sharpen Focus and maintain Concentration.

Ginseng- has been shown to reduce the effects of stress, improve performance
and boost energy levels.

Taurine- Restores fatigued muscles.

Caffeine- mentally raises focus and Alertness. (50mg)

Guarana- Assists with endurance based activities and also quickens perception. (25mg)

Also contains additional Vitamins and Minerals such as Vitamin D, Niacin, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin B6.

On the course

My being a golf blogger who is always reviewing some new club or accessory is quite entertaining for my buddies. When I got to the first tee for my regular weekend 8-some last week, I informed all the players that I had a secret weapon and that I’d let them all off the hook for $2.00. I told them all that Swing Juice was guaranteed to take 4 strokes off your game. At least that’s what Jon told me.

The drink is a lemonade flavor. To me it tastes exactly like Country Time lemonade. I like Country Time.

I cracked it open on the first fairway and sipped at it for about 10 holes. I’m a slow drinker (which is good at the 19th hole).

I played OK. I can’t really tell for sure if I would have shot 4 shots worse had I not had the Swing Juice though. The only way to really prove something like that would be to play 5-10 rounds with and 5-10 rounds without the Swing Juice and see if there’s a difference. Sounds like a new experiment for Dave Pelz.

Conclusion

I can’t really “conclude” anything about what Swing Juice can do for your golf game, having only had one. I don’t have enough empirical data to make such a conclusion.

I can conclude that Swing Juice tastes good. And I can say that the Ginseng and caffeine didn’t “wig me out” or make me “wired.”

Watch for Swing Juice as the featured beverage for multiple Professional Golf events in 2006: The Sony Open (PGA 01/06), The Turtle Bay Championship (Champions Tour 01/06) and the SBS Open (LPGA 02/06).

I tried Swing Juice over the summer and can say it did taste pretty good. Better than the “Ade” stuff.

  3. SwingJuice Energy Drink

We all know hydration on the golf course is important. Let’s see if SwingJuice, a golf-focused energy drink, can find its way into the drink holders on our golf carts.
