For the first time in the history of The Masters, the Wednesday par-3 contest will be televised.
The par-3 contest is a very casual tournament held on Augusta National’s par-3 course. Many fun pairings like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer a few years ago, are fun to watch. Television coverage will be April 9 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on ESPN.
Par-3 Nuggets
No winner of the par-3 contest has gone on to win The Masters. There have been 63 aces since the beginning of the par-3 contest in 1960.
Masters Kids Menu
Do they have pimento cheese sandwiches for kids at Augusta National? Starting in 2008 youngsters aged 8-16 will be admitted free on tournament days. They just have to be accompanied by an accredited patron.
Hey Tony
Now all you have to do is make yourself look like a 16 year old and you are in!
That thought already crossed my mind.
