Rory McIlory has missed a few cuts in a row now. Certainly not a performance one would expect from the #1 or #2 ranked golfer in the world. I say #1 or #2 because the rankings have been flip-flopping more than a presidential candidate recently.
I just read, with great enjoyment I might add, that Rory’s girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki is coming out with her own line of underwear. It is all starting to make sense now. Rory’s focus hasn’t quite been on golf as I’m sure he has been “helping” Caroline with the R&D of her underwear line. That must be tough work.

For a mid to high handicap golfer, the Srixon Q-Star golf ball is a good ball choice because it has less spin. Less spin means they won’t knock it farther into the woods. A dozen Q-Stars will run $24.99.
A definite MUST for every golf bag is the Frogger BrushPro. I use this brush to keep my iron grooves clean so I can have control and great spin.

Champ makes some nice golf accessories. The Zarma FLYtees are great and last a long time. The Champ FLIX divot repair tool is my current gamer. Love the switchblade action.

Father’s Day Golf Gifts Under $50
The “under $50” price point brings in most golf balls. So here are a few suggestions. For better players or players looking for a “tour” ball I suggest the Srixon Z-Star, TaylorMade TP5. For players wanting tour performance but are like me who don’t have high swing speeds, I recommend the Bridgestone Golf B300RX and RXS.
Possibly the coolest new apparel product for 2012 is the belt line by Switch. These $29.95 belts are plastic and can be washed in your dishwasher when they get dirty. 196 color combinations. I’ve got FOUR so far, and counting…

Tiger Woods recorded his 73rd victory on Tour yesterday at the Memorial Tournament, tying Jack Nicklaus’ career record. With the victory at last week’s Memorial Tiger Woods has moved up in the world golf rankings to #4. Spots 1-3 stay the same, with Luke Donald at #1, followed by Rory McIlory and Lee Westwood.
