Luke Donald’s solo 3rd finish this past week at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans has moved him past Rory McIlory and back into the #1 ranking in the world. I’m starting to lose count, but I do believe this is the 3rd time Donald has held the top spot in the world.

I am still trying to figure out how Tiger jumped ahead of Phil in the rankings, with one official tour win since Fall 2009, while Phil actually has a major under his belt since then, and more overall wins.
Besides that, I am enjoying the fact that we have so many big name players bunched at the top of the rankings. Will be interesting to see if anyone can break away from the pack this year.
