Below is the round two leader board of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii. Steve Stricker shot an amazing -10 63 (yes, par-73) and now leads by five shots. Apparently the cortisone shot he got in his neck is helping.

I feel bad for Paul Casey. He just dislocated his shoulder snowboarding. Not the best thing to happen for a player just before the season starts. I’m surprised that a player who has so much on the line money wise would take the risk.
I’ve dislocated my left shoulder several times and I can say from experience that it isn’t fun. Plus, the shoulder is never the same. The more times you dislocate it, the higher the likelihood it will happen again.
“I am very frustrated as I was really looking forward to getting off to a fast start in 2012. The good news is the experts I’ve seen say I don’t need surgery and, having already started my rehabilitation exercises, I should be back hitting balls in a few weeks.” ~Paul Casey
Casey will be out several weeks. My guess is probably 6-8 weeks based on my own experience.
As a rock & roll musician and metal head, I love skulls and general blackness. I’ve tried to cross a little of that rock & roll vibe from my music world to golf blogging. That’s how the Hooked On Golf Blog logo ended up being a golf skull. I was thrilled to find that my buddies at Tattoo Golf, who also love skulls, created a solid pewter golf belt buckle with a golf ball skull. What a match! As they say in Scotland, “brilliant!”
So here’s a picture of what I’m calling the world’s coolest golf belt buckle, the Tattoo Golf OB Skull and Crossed Clubs design:
I’m wearing the golf skull belt buckle with a Tattoo Golf belt in the image above, but the buckle can be purchased separately for $24.99 and works with any belt with snaps. The buckle is designed to work with 1 1/2″ belts.
Below is a listing of the players who make up the field for the Tournament of Champions, along with their day one tee times. The tournament will be airing in prime time. Click here for the Hyundai Tournament of Champions television schedule.
