Adventurous day one of the current HOG World Tour stop in Puerto Rico at the Dorado Beach Resort & Club. Getting here from Salt Lake took about 12 hours, then I spent another 12 hours lost on this gigantic property in my own personal golf cart (comes with the suite, pictured below) in the dark looking for the restaurant! Fortunately I found it, and had the pleasure of sitting down with none other than Chi Chi Rodriguez. During the flights here, I read David Feherty’s 2005 book, An Idiot For All Seasons. First time I’ve sat down and read a book from start to finish. I guess fart humor is the way to keep me glued to the pages…

Man how cool it was to sit and talk to Chi Chi for over an hour and listen to the amazing stories. I even mentioned a shot I saw him hit live in the Jeremy Ranch Shootout decades ago which he REMEMBERED! He told me the club, distance and how close to the hole the shot was! 220 out, uphill, in the face of a bunker, 4-wood, 12 inches, birdie. So many other Chi Chi stories…
The resort room here is fantastic. Here’s a shot of my amazing 3 bedroom suite. My clubs have their own room, closet, bathroom and fridge.

Tomorrow
I’ve gotta call it a night. Tomorrow morning we tee off on the famed East Course here at Dorado Beach for the grand re-opening. You think I’ll shoot some pictures tomorrow?
