Dunhill Links Championship is highly recommended viewing

This week on the European Tour is the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St. Andrews. The tournament is played on three St. Andrews area courses, the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. Having played two of the three (Old Course and Kingsbarns) it is very enjoyable to watch the play and reminisce about my rounds there.

I strongly recommend watching the final round if you can. The Old Course is the track for round four and unfortunately if you missed the previous rounds, you won’t see Carnoustie or Kingsbarns. Kingsbarns (pictured above) is one hell of a track that could give Pebble or any ocean side links a run for its money.

Next time I visit, Carnoustie will be on the play list.

A great tournament this year Tony, possibly the best field of golfers the Dunhill has ever had…WR No1 Donald, 2 Westwood, 3 McIlroy, 5 Johnson & 6 Kaymer contending plus McDowell, Schwartzel along with JJ Henry and John Daly from the US Tour also coming over for the Dunhill jamboree.
It has always been a surprise that not more US players come across for the tournament because it is played over three of the worlds greatest (links) courses and it would surely be a delight to get a break from the Fed Ex?

This is one the most beautiful golf courses in the world and you are lucky to see it in person. I will be watching the final round. Also I have seen all the pictures that you upload, WOW…
