On my HOG World Tour trek last week I captured this killer video of one of the most bizarre golf swings I’ve ever seen. This older guy could actually get the ball launched fairly well for being as old as he was and for not even bringing the club behind his body. Look how his arm and the club are in a straight line in this still image. Is that good? I have no idea…

I’m going to try to get Hank Haney to comment on this video via Twitter. Can’t imagine what he’d say…

So at the top, or should I say front, of the backswing, is the club pointed toward the target?

In slo mo, it sounds like he’s hitting an empty soup can.

In golf etiquette it might look awkward but if that is how he comfortably makes shots I won’t argue much. It also matters on the he is using.
