I can’t keep a lid on this anymore. And after confirming my flights last night I’m now announcing that the biggest and coolest stop on the HOG World Tour is booked.
I’m going to St. Andrews.
I leave at the end of June and will be there for about a week. I will be playing golf with my best friend, and enlisting the caddy services of my good pal John Boyne (Boynie). I’m so excited I can’t even describe it. More to come.
The current temp at the Phoenix Open is 30 and we are in another frost delay. They currently plan to start sending players out at about 10:30am local, 12:30pm ET.
Yesterday’s round was fun to watch with Phil Mickelson, Bill Haas and Bubba Watson paired up. Bubba and Phil were the funnest to watch, but Haas shot the best score and is T1 at -6.
Villegas WD
Camilo Villegas is having a rough year just playing in, or finishing tournaments. He has withdrawn due to a back injury. Back injuries are bound to happen when it is so cold.
With a separated shoulder at the PGA Show, there were many things I couldn’t do. Shooting pictures and video was difficult. But thanks to my new GoPro HD video camera, I was able to shoot some virtual tours of booths at the show by simply mounting the camera to my cranium and walking around.
Below is a virtual tour of the Callaway booth, complete with a walk-around of the amazing Callaway Ferrari.
Update on the Waste Management Phoenix open: The frost delay has been extended to 3.5 hours. They go off at 11:10am local time, 1:10pm ET.
Currently in Phoenix the temperature is 34 degrees F.
I stopped by the Srixon/Cleveland Golf booth at this year’s PGA Show and interviewed my buddy John about the new Z-Star X and Z-Star XV golf balls. The yellow Z-Star is improved, and the XV is a new ball for 2011.
