ABC News, The LA Times, People Magazine and other large media sources are reporting that a divorce between Elin Nordgren and Tiger Woods is “100% on.” Elin has been spotted around town with no wedding ring on her finger and a moving vans were seen outside of the Woods’ home yesterday. Elin has supposedly hired California’s top divorce attorney.

Play It As It Lies
What does the biggest golf geek in our solar system, the self proclaimed world’s #1 golf blogger (me) give his golf addict dad for Christmas? What does a guy who has about a million clubs, bags, balls, books and about four billion golf accessories and gadgets laying around his house give his dad? A new driver? ProV1’s? No way man. I’m going to give my dad what his golf game truly calls for, a “golf ball turd thingy” gag gift.
Thanks to my friends at “Golfun” for this golf gag gift.
Back in this post I mentioned the fact that the local power company would be putting a set of new poles right through my home course. These poles are 120 feet high and about 70 feet wide. There’s already one set and now there will be a 2nd set, 70 feet right of the first one. The shot below shows the 1st tee. The white truck is on the blue tee, in front of the black tee. That’s where a pole will be. In the background you can see another set of vehicles on the right where the next pole will be. That’s the right rough. Not cool. At least our course managed to convince them to put the pole in the right rough, rather than the middle of the fairway like they originally planned, but it still sucks.
I have to pat myself on the back for catching the latest addition to my ever growing series of golf license plate pictures. I caught this one on the freeway at 65mph through my windshield. Texting while driving is illegal in this state but driving with no hands on the wheel shooting pictures isn’t…
Credit my buddy Jay Flemma for the quote of the week in trying to separate Tiger Woods from golf.
At the end of the day, Woods is just a man, but golf is an institution.
I couldn’t agree more. Golf will survive no matter what happens to Tiger Woods or any famous individual in the world of golf. The game, the institution, will draw me back to the course every time despite how poorly I may have played or dejected I may have been the previous round.
