Bart Bryant has a 4 shot lead going into Sunday’s final round of the Tour Championship. He’s practically #1 in all of the meaningful stat categories for the tournament so far. Bryant has had a problem in the past handling pressure and admittedly has come close to feeling so sick dealing with the pressure that he wanted to “cash in.”
How’s he going to handle the pressure playing in the final group Sunday? You’re not going to have much more pressure than playing in the final group with world #4 Retief Goosen. Toss in playing in the group behind Tiger Woods. Imagine watching Tiger in the group in front of you go on one of his patented Sunday charges and having to answer to that.
Entertainment
Tiger has hit 14 of 42 fairways and he’s been hitting shots from some very interesting spots. Yesterday I couldn’t help laughing when Tiger was hitting off the dirt from next to what looked to be three large ice machines. When he HAS hit the fairway, he’s been launching them as long as 380 yards.
But the most entertaining thing so far was watching Sergio today. Frustrated with his putting, he took a full swing with his putter at his golf bag. His Monza Corza became unplayable at that point and he putted with an iron the rest of the round. He putted better.
