Today was one prime example of why golf is such a great game: meeting new friends.
Two buddies and I played a practice round for a BIG two day tournament we’re in this weekend: The Salt Lake Open.
We were joined by an extremely cute lady from Finland named Nina. She was here on vacation. She had only been golfing for two years and she hit the ball fairly well, especially her irons. She proudly told us she was a 34 handicap and she jumped right into our group like she’d been playing Thursdays with us for 5 years. She was so cute on the course. When we’d say “good shot” she’d wave just like Annika Sorenstam. It was fun.
After starting with 8 consecutive pars I lost concentration and I let a good round go south. I hope all the bad shots today are out of my system and the good shots happen this weekend in the Salt Lake Open.
