Tiger missed the cut at the US OPEN

I’m not surprised Tiger missed the cut at this year’s U.S. OPEN. I lost a parent a couple of years ago and it still hurts sometimes. For Tiger to go through that and then try to come back under the most brutal conditions on tour and expect to make the cut is a lot to ask.

Oh, and I won a bet with golfdiscussions.com over the Tiger/Phil U.S. OPEN standings. Time to pay up GD!

And HOG readers are obviously smarter than GD’s because they picked Phil over Tiger… GD had Tiger something like 87%…

Of course we’re smarter, and I didn’t need a poll to figure that out. btw, my predictions of Furyk and Funk are working out, though Fred should have finished at -4 today (instead of making bogey from an 18″ birdie putt on 18).

And what about Duval. Man, if that guy ever figures out how to drive it in the fairway, watch out. He hit as many fairways as Tiger today, and shot 68.

Did anyone notie that defending champion Michael Campbell also missed the cut wirh an even worse performance than Tiger?

And David Duval is currently tied 23rd. A little major comeback?

I noticed that sirstick. He’s only made 5/10 cuts this year and one was ther mercedes which is a no cut. So he’s 4/10, not playing all that well.
