You’ll hear more and more about this, but I’m going to St. Andrews in July!  The timing could hardly be more appropriate that I had a cool DVD submitted for my review called Scotland’s Caddies.

A Film Celebrating Caddies and the Home of Golf

Scotland’s Caddies is film by Ron Colby.  In the movie Ron treks around Scotland golf courses and sticks a camera into the mugs of the world’s coolest caddies.

There are some gems in this film, great quotes, great footage, great stories and of course many beautiful clips from some of the best courses in the world.

The caddy right was hilarious.  His accent was so heavy they had to translate it into subtitles.  Love this quote about a loop he had where the player offered him some fancy booze:

“Would you fancy a slug yourself?” the player asked.  “I said, aye, give me a go at that.”

Conclusion

Regardless of whether you’ve been, plan to go, or won’t be going to Scotland, I’d check out this film.  It is quite a bit of fun.
