How rare is a 59 on the PGA Tour?  Paul Goydos’ 59 yesterday at the John Deer Classic was only the 4th ever on the PGA Tour.  That as amazing.  There have been hundreds of thousands of rounds played by the world’s best golfers for decades, yet only four 59’s.  Shooting a 59 on tour is far more rare than a perfect game in baseball, which there have been 20.

Quick to jump on the 59 bandwagon

Any company who provides gear for Goydos has been quick to jump on the bandwagon, from ball manufacturers to club manufacturers.  I think I even saw a press release from Goydos’ toothpaste manufacturer.

Stricker

Steve Stricker shot a 60 yesterday.  How funny is it that a player can shoot a 60 in the first round of a tournament and be in 2nd place?
