As of my last birthday I’m now qualified for the local “senior” 8-man team. That means I’m often dealing with aches, pains, and muscle fatigue. I’m intrigued by the Marc Pro Electrical Muscle Stimulation Machine. I hope to use it to help build up muscle strength in a couple of particular areas which are problematic for me, the lower back and my arms/elbows where I get golfer’s elbow.
This machine looks like a tens unit, but the application is totally different. A tens unit is used to treat muscle spasms and stiffness. This unit is NOT used as a treatment for muscle issues. Rather, it is a device which helps build up muscle strength by stimulating in a very focused manner.
The Marc Pro muscle conditioning device creates unique, strong, but completely non-fatiguing muscle contractions that set off a cascading series of physiologic events. We call this a Muscle Activated Recovery Cascade, or “MARC®” for short.
While sitting here writing golf blog posts or programming custom code for my websites I plan on having the Marc Pro on the lower back and probably my forearms, to help them build up a little more strength.
The Marc Pro stimulates muscles to help improve or facilitate muscle performance. Many athletes use Marc Pro, and enjoy the benefits of enhanced recovery in a wide variety of sports ranging from golf, to cross-fit, to running. It has been cited as helping many golfers improve their golf game and recovery.
This is a new concept and I’ll by trying this out for a bit, and posting my results and a full review later.
