Some of the stuff I find in my golf news feed is bizarre. Case in point is a post from Bleacher Report which shows a video of the world’s fastest golf cart, which clocks in at 118 miles per hour.
With a cart that fast I wonder if golfers could clock in a round of 18 holes in under five hours?
FORE!
Wow! 118mph is just the max speed reached in the quarter mile stretch. That doesn’t mean it’s finished accelerating. Maybe even a round in 4:45?
Strange – the video says that they “set a record” on 10/31/14 at 118 mph. However, on their web site, they say they set the “world record” of 166 mph over a year earlier, at the same dragstrip. Seems odd.
Regardless, it’s hard to imagine keeping that thing going in a straight line at over 100 mph with no aerodynamics at all.
PJ, Maybe the world record was for top speed? I don’t know that many hyper-vehicles can get to 166mph in a quarter mile
