I showed up at 8:30 on the same day to play on the stimulator. It was recently software updated (according to pro shop staff) and the upgrades sucked!
Prior to yesterday, I had never hit a driver less than 300 yds. Yesterday, my drives were 260’s (except for the one that was hit well and only 206 yds).
Before yesterday, I hits my irons more or less consistent yardages on the stimulator. Yesterday, on the first hole I hit 4 balls ob and got a 10. Mainly due to wedges going 150 (except for when I hit LW 120 yds on a 40 yd swing). Glad I got up at 7:30 for that.
My 3 iron was going between 135 and 180. My PW was going 150. I said f it after 3 holes and went to the real range for a half hour.
Then, I played REAL golf (no doubt while you were being screwed in the stimulator).
I played 32 real golf holes. The weatherman sure got it wrong yesterday…it was freakin beautiful (especially for Jan 24th). Sunny, no wind. Felt like 50 degrees (until around 3:30, when I admit it started to feel a little cold).
F the stimulator!
I may be done with the stimulator forever.
